Hello and welcome to Serene Scene, natural home organization.  My name is Margaret Wooten and I am a professional organizer in Lawrenceville, GA.

I have always been someone that liked everything in its place.  I am still teased about when I got upset as a child because someone moved my pencil on my desk.  Yep that's right, I LOVE order!

I also love and care for others, which led me to a career in nursing for 23 years.  I have worked in a pediatric hospital, adult hospital, home health care and private duty nursing.  While spending huge amounts of time in other people’s homes helping to care for them or their child, I realized there was a great need for support, especially with tailoring the flow of their life around caring for their loved ones.  It is easy to get overwhelmed and struggle with finding balance in your home, work and family.

Fast forward to 2004 when my 3rd child was born and then consequently diagnosed with ADHD and ultimately Autism.  Though I loved my job as a nurse, I eventually found myself in a state of chaos, mentally, physically and emotionally.  I began to devote my time, love and attention to helping my son find his balance and place in this world.  It was through this personal journey that I found: my TIME to relish in the things that I love; PEACE in prayer and devotion; FREEDOM from the burdens of everyday struggles and I ultimately found MYSELF!

I realized that life is too short to spend time doing things that make you miserable.  Many people struggle with disorder and I experience joy in helping others find freedom from their disorganization.  I do not judge or make you feel bad about the state of your home or office.  I have been there.  Listen, my home is not perfect, and neither am I.  Challenges continue to arise.  That’s life.  But energized with the desire to keep that balance, I find strength in helping others.
